Rose Breuss
She has created choreography for performances in many theaters: the Vienna Chamber Opera, the Künstlerhaus Theater, the Posthof Cultural Center in Linz, the Szene Bunte Wähne Centre for Children and Youth, the Tanzquartier Wien Contemporary Dance Center, the Vienna Concerthouse, Grand Theatre of the City of Luxembourg and Philharmonie Luxembourg etc. Her Off Verticality /C.O.V. dance company co-founded with Johannes Randolph in 2009 is supported by the City of Vienna, the City of Linz, the states of Upper Austria and Lower Austria, the Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture of Austria.
Awards: Max Brand Experimental Music Award, Theodor Körner Prize in Science and Arts, Austrian Government Award for 'Drift' Production.
Since 2006 he has been a head of IDA – Institute of Dance Arts of the Anton Bruckner University of Linz. She obtained a Ph.D. in 2005. She has been a guest lecturer at the Vienna Opera Ballet School, the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum Salzburg, the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, the University of Middlesex (London), the University of Bordeaux.
In 2019 she became Artil's mentor. Within the framework of its educational residencies in Linz she gave lectures and did individual coaching for participants of the project on Choreographic Scores as a creative and research tool in dance.
